Hola! My name is Dana and I love to travel. I caught the travel bug at a young age, when my family started hosting foreign exchange students in our home. I quickly realized that the world is filled with lovely people and I wanted to get to know them all.

At 16, I lived in Germany as a foreign exchange student for six months. It was a massive dose of independence in one fell swoop and I drank too much vodka, ate too much hazelnut chocolate and came home with the chubbiest cheeks you have ever seen.

At 22, as a sparkling fresh college graduate, I packed by backpack and set off to explore South America. I traveled slowly for months and fell in love with a new culture, tall mountains and exotic food.

Student loans started calling six months after graduation and lucky for me, I secured a fantastic position with a prestigious investment firm. I worked 70+ hours a week for three years before I felt the pull of the road once again.

In 2013, at the ripe ole’ age of 25, I embarked on a journey to find my place in the world. Since then, I have slowly wandered through Central America, North America and New Zealand.

It’s hard to make concrete plans when life on the road is so full of uncertainty, but my current plan is to stay in New Zealand for the foreseeable future.

Does slow traveling sound like fun? I would love to meet up with you on the road. Join me

Dana

    • It was wonderful to meet all four of you. I looked forward to Wednesdays and Fridays, because I knew I would see your smiling faces and laugh the whole time. I’m sure our paths will cross again soon, safe travels!
